Writing T2 W10

Hi (and welcome), for writing this term we have been doing the hard hitting statistics (hmm, sounds interesting, doesn't it?) I am doing ZERO HUNGER for my speech and here is the link to the information. Here is my FAVOURITE (i hope you don't get TOO excited because it is exciting... Wait, that doesn't make sense!) part of my writing

"Did you know that there are 795 million people that are hungry in the world today, and that by 2050, that number is expected to reach 2 billion. After decades of steady decline, the number of people who suffer from hunger as measured by the prevalence of undernourishment began to slowly increase again in 2015. Current estimates show that nearly 690 million people are hungry, or 8.9 percent of the world population, up by 10 million people in one year and by nearly 60 million in five years and, yeah."

Writing

Hi everyone! I'm going to show you what my group did for writing this week. We had to choose a story from our teacher. I chose Creature from the deep. I chose it because I like to learn about living stuff that relates to animals. Anyway, I will show you my awesome but interesting with lots and lots of stuff in it! We kind of did some narrative writing in here, too. It is kind of complicated. It is a made up story but we have to be writing about the creature that's in the picture. I used a website called pobble, here it is!
Isn't it amazing?
Did you do this awesome (but interesting) writing that's similar to this.

Reading T3 W1

Hi, this week for reading we learned about analysing texts. PS: I haven't been doing blogs for so long that I don't really know where to start! Anyway, back to reading, we used the FANTASTICs. It stands for: Feeling,  Asking, Noticing, Touching, Action, Smelling, Tasting, Imagining, Checking. Here is my work!

Have you ever analyzed a text before?
Tell me in the comments below!

Maori Conversations

Hi! I'm doing Maori conversations this week and we had to do a DLO of how we did it.  Why is it important? Māori language is a central component of Māori culture, and an important aspect of participation and identity. It also forms part of the broader cultural identity and heritage of New Zealand. In 1987, the Māori language was recognised as an official New Zealand language. You can also do it by what I call: "Learn it and speak it". Here is the link to my work, hope you like it ;)
