Hi! This week on writing we are focusing on narratives. Just so you know, narratives are powerful because Telling stories is one of the most powerful means that leaders have to influence, teach, and inspire. What makes storytelling so effective for learning? For starters, storytelling forges connections among people, and between people and ideas. Stories convey the culture, history, and values that unite people. Narratives are important because Narratives are used to educate and entertain young children as well as adults. Children at a young age experience many narratives and stories during their early years of pre-school and primary school. Narratives are used as a form of important lessons. Reading narratives can be a past time used to help relax the mind. It also helps your thinking! I love writing like authors do. I hope that everyone who reads this blog might like reading mostly like me (who loves writing). I highly recommend better writers do harder writing. Narration means the art of storytelling, and the purpose of narrative writing is to tell stories. Any time you tell a story to a friend or family member about an event or incident in your day, you engage in a form of narration. Narrative structure is a literary element generally described as the structural framework that underlies the order and manner in which a narrative is presented to a reader, listener, or viewer. The narrative text structures are the plot and the setting. A good personal narrative uses narrative techniques such as dialogue, description, and pacing to tell the events and show the character's responses to the things that happened. Dialogue is the actual words someone spoke. Dialogue shows thoughts and feelings.
